What is this test?
MRI Lower Abdomen with Special Part is an advanced imaging study designed to provide detailed visualization of the lower abdominal and pelvic organs using specialized MRI sequences tailored to focus on a particular organ or structure. This may include the uterus, ovaries, prostate, bladder, rectum, lymph nodes, or surrounding soft tissues. Preparation Required:

• Fasting for several hours before the test may be necessary to reduce bowel motion and improve image quality
• A full bladder may be required for optimal visualization of pelvic structures—specific instructions will be provided
• Remove all metallic objects and inform your healthcare provider about any implants or contraindications
• Kidney function tests may be performed if contrast administration is planned
• Inform the technician of any allergies, pregnancy status, or prior reactions to contrast agents

How is the procedure performed?
You will lie on the MRI table, and depending on the protocol, an intravenous line may be placed for contrast administration. The MRI scanner will then obtain high-resolution images with specialized sequences targeted to the pelvic region or other specific lower abdominal structures. The scan generally lasts between 45 to 60 minutes. It is important to remain still during imaging to ensure the clearest results. Dynamic contrast-enhanced sequences and diffusion-weighted imaging may be included to assess tissue vascularity and cellularity.
